No referral is needed to see a physiotherapist at PhysioChoice. You can book directly with us at any time. However, if you have a chronic condition, a referral from your GP through a Chronic Disease Management (sometimes called an EPC or CDM) plan may allow you to access Medicare rebates for your sessions.
Your first appointment typically lasts 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will take a detailed history of your condition, perform a thorough assessment, and work with you to develop a personalised treatment plan. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated.
The number of sessions varies depending on your condition, its severity, and how your body responds to treatment. After your initial assessment, your physiotherapist may give you an estimate of the expected treatment duration and review your progress along the way.
