Exercise has been proven to help when injuries, chronic illnesses, and disabilities affect your life.
You have been advised to exercise, but you know you need to get active, and sometimes you lack the motivation. Exercise Physiology will provide personalised lifestyle and behavioural modification, exercise programming, and empower you to take an active role, while supporting you every step of the way to reach your health and wellness goals.
Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are university-qualified allied health professionals who specialise in prescribing safe, effective exercise for people living with acute, sub-acute, or chronic medical conditions, injuries, and disabilities.
How Can an Exercise Physiologist Help?
Exercise Physiologists provide support for clients with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, mental health conditions, cancer, arthritis, pulmonary disease, chronic fatigue, musculoskeletal conditions and more…
Exercise Physiologists will educate, develop, and implement exercise interventions to help overcome chronic pain caused by an injury or overuse, improve heart health, rehabilitate after a cardiac event, control diabetes, prevent pre-diabetes from progressing to full diabetes, improve recovery following cancer treatment, and enhance general health and well-being.
Following your initial assessment, you will be given advice and/or prescribed an exercise program specifically tailored to you with a clear plan for managing your condition. Your Exercise Physiologist will also collaborate with your other treating practitioners to ensure everyone is working towards the same goal.
