Meet the team

Physiotherapists

Andrew Ryan

Andrew has been working fulltime as a physiotherapist for 13 years, accredited with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Physiotherapy Studies from the University of Queensland.

Andrew has gained widespread experience and expertise in areas such as Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy; Sporting Injuries; Pre- and Post- Orthopaedic Surgery Rehabilitation; Musculoskeletal Western Acupuncture and Dry Needling; and Clinical Pilates.

Laura Paige

Laura graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from James Cook University and has worked across Central and Eastern Victoria as a locum physiotherapist gaining experience in private practice clinics, age care facilities and pre-employment assessments. Laura subsequently moved to Brisbane at the end of 2018 to be closer to her family.

Laura has a strong interest in sports injury management, and has done further study in dry needling and shoulder & spinal physio.

Jacqui Quirk

Originally a Townsville local, Jacqui graduated from James Cook University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. After graduation Jacqui relocated to Brisbane with her partner Luke.

As part of the PhysioChoice Albany Creek team she has a special interest in Pilates rehabilitation, dry needling and musculoskeletal injuries.

Robert Nicholls

Robert completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University. His areas of special interest include sports and occupational musculoskeletal injuries, post-operative and rehabilitation physiotherapy. He is also specifically interested in lower limb, shoulder back and neck injuries.

Robert is a very keen sportsman with strong interests in Rugby League, Rugby Union, soccer and cricket. Robert is originally from the UK and moved to Australia in 2006 with his parents and sister. He still enjoys following British sport and supporting Leeds United Football Club and Castleford Tigers Rugby League.

Massage Therapists

Stephanie Walker

Stephanie graduated from the Endeavour College of Natural Health in 2010 with a bachelor degree in musculoskeletal therapy. She has been working at Albany Creek as a remedial massage therapist since then.

Steph treats a variety of conditions, including headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain, upper and lower back pain and postural issues. She utilises multiple techniques as part of massage therapy, including trigger-point therapy, myofascial release, stretching and strengthening exercises and non-invasive rhythmic joint mobilizations.

Helen Millar

Helen works as a remedial massage therapist, with nearly 15 years’ worth of hands-on experience.

Helen’s specialities include assisting people with chronic injuries, include helping office workers alleviate reoccurring ailments such as headaches, neck, shoulder, arm and hand pain, and lower back pain. She also helps athletes recover from injuries, while maintaining their level of fitness.

She also employs her diverse skill set in her day-to-day tasks, including modalities such as reflexology, kinesiology and acupressure.
