PhysioChoice Mulgrave has provided high quality physiotherapy and clinical Pilates services for the past 12 years with a total practice history of over 30 years.


You’ll find our practice conveniently situated at Unit 7/879 Springvale Road, Mulgrave.


The practice features three consultation rooms and a Pilates studio room.

    • PhysioChoice Mulgrave have partnered with Dandenong Oasis to offer physio directed hydrotherapy services. Dandenong Oasis provides programs and services for the whole community. Their child care provides options for parents especially during hydrotherapy classes. The Hydrotherapy pool is a warm-water pool (usually at a temperature of 35°C-37°C), that is warmer than other normal heated swimming pools. PhysioChoice hire out the hydrotherapy pool on various weekdays.

Meet the team


Leigh Dunstan (Director)

Leigh brings a wealth of experience to PhysioChoice, having completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences & Masters in Physiotherapy Practice from La Trobe University. He also has a background in Exercise Science, having completed another Bachelor degree at RMIT University.

Leigh is an avid believer in continued professional development and has completed several post-graduate courses in rehabilitation. He is also a clinical mentor for new graduate Physiotherapists.

Leigh has extensive experience in the musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy sector; he has been a Physiotherapist for the Victorian State Netball and Hockey Centre, Mulgrave FC and Bendigo South FNC.

As his career has progressed, Leigh has also developed a keen interest in Corporate Health, having an association with various companies as an onsite Physiotherapist to drive prevention of injuries and assist in changing processes for a safer workplace. Dry needling is one of Leigh’s areas of expertise.

Leigh is an avid sports fan, particularly in AFL and Tennis.

Peta Johnston

Peta is a La Trobe University graduate with a Bachelor of Applied Science/Master of Physiotherapy Practice.

Her professional interests involve women’s health, which is a particular passion of hers, and prides herself on delivering personalized, goal-driven care across all areas of physiotherapy.

Snowboarding and surfing are Peta’s pastimes away from work, and is likewise passionate about women in sport and breaking down barriers for same.

Hoda Alirezaee

Hoda is a graduate of Iran University of Medical Science and Rehabilitation. She holds both a Masters of Science and Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy.

Her professional interests lie in treating migraines and headaches, as well as spinal musculoskeletal conditions. Hoda is looking forward to mentoring and supervising new physio graduates, as she enjoys teaching as part of her continuing professional development.

Hoda and her husband have a 3-year-old daughter, Hana, as well as a cat, Joyee. She enjoys bushwalking and hiking, as well as early morning workouts at the gym. She grew up with soccer and is currently learning the finer points of AFL. Hoda also enjoys sampling cuisine from different countries, often by visiting restaurants that specialise in such food.

Wilson Poon

Wilson graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours). His professional interests involve gerontology, chronic pain management and sports injuries, and is looking to develop his interests further while at PhysioChoice.

Outside of work Wilson likewise furthers his love of sport by indulging in long distance running and paddle boarding. He follows Geelong in the AFL and is parent to a border collie named ‘Sparky’.

Jaydan Tjong

Jaydan is a Monash University alum, having graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours).

Jaydan has a strong passion for musculoskeletal physiotherapy, from orthopaedics to sports injuries, and enjoys the many interactions with different people on a day to day basis. He strives to return his clients to their full functional capacity in order to achieve their goals whether it’s returning to work, sport or minimising pain through a person-centred approach.

With his spare time Jaydan enjoys gaming but also tries to stay active by going to the gym, playing basketball and getting to the slopes during winter. Although retired from competitive sports, he remains an avid follower of the AFL, NBA and Formula 1.

Leon Mao

Leon obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Doctorate of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne. His professional interests lie in treating sports injuries, lower back pain, and shoulder injuries. Leon also focuses on implementing physical rehabilitation via clinical Pilates.

Outside of work Leon relaxes by playing tennis, writing about health-related subjects, and enjoying the outdoors.
