At PhysioChoice Moonee Ponds, our experienced physiotherapists are here to help you reach your physiotherapy goals. Whether that is recovering from an injury, getting back to work after a long period of inactivity, or managing pain.

Our practice is located at 712 Mt Alexander Rd and includes a clinical pilates studio that is fully equipped with specially designed machines and equipment that can accommodate clients of all life stages, abilities, and strengths. For those seeking to enhance their general fitness in a group environment, we also offer reformer Pilates sessions with our Pilates instructors.

To see one of our physiotherapists, you do not need a referral (except for DVA and Medicare EPC), and you can claim on Private Health Insurance (if covered as an extra), with prices kept as low as possible. We also offer all WorkSafe injuries, TAC injuries, and Medicare (EPC) referrals at no extra cost.

Melissa Telfer

Melissa Telfer



Melissa holds an Associate of Science Degree from North Texas College and a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology and Pre-Med from Alabama State University in the United States. Upon returning to Australia, she completed a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Physiotherapy from Latrobe University.

As a keen tennis player, Melissa was fortunate to study in America on a Tennis Scholarship and is still a competitive player to this day. As such she has a very strong interest in shoulder related injuries and returns to sports rehabilitation programs. Dry needling is one of her areas of expertise.

Melissa also enjoys working with paediatric and NDIS clientele in both neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.

Aimee Wheelan

Aimee Whelan



Aimee graduated from Latrobe University with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Physiotherapy Practice. During her studies, she developed a clinical guide to help physiotherapists diagnose and treat a variety of vertigo related conditions including BPPV and therefore has extensive knowledge on the topic.

Aimee’s areas of special interest include lower back, shoulder and knee injuries, clinical Pilates and vertigo related conditions. She is a dedicated football fan and player, following both AFL and AFLW, and has worked with several local sporting clubs (football, soccer and netball) in the past.

Aimee enjoys really getting to know clients of all ages to fully understand how important their goals are to them, whether that be returning to sport, reducing pain and/or improving their health and wellbeing. She uses a combination of manual therapy and exercise prescription during her consults to provide the best treatment plan for a client’s goal.

Rick King



Rick graduated from Melbourne Institute of Massage Therapy with his Certificate in Massage, LaTrobe University with his Bachelor of Health Sciences and his Master of Physiotherapy Practice.

He has special interests in knee and shoulder injuries, chronic lower back pain and gerontology. Rick loves working with people of all ages, but especially enjoys working with the older population.

For 20 years, Rick ran a small I.T. business, however wanted to change his profession and try something new. Rick played basketball from the age of 4 years old through till he was 20 and has been practicing Muay Thai for the last 10 years. He loves to travel local and internationally and plan holiday destinations around hiking trails and local cuisine. Rick collects Red wine from all over Australia, especially North Eastern Victoria.
