At PhysioChoice Moonee Ponds, our experienced physiotherapists are here to help you reach your physiotherapy goals. Whether that is recovering from an injury, getting back to work after a long period of inactivity, or managing pain.

Our practice is located at 712 Mt Alexander Rd and includes a clinical pilates studio that is fully equipped with specially designed machines and equipment that can accommodate clients of all life stages, abilities, and strengths. For those seeking to enhance their general fitness in a group environment, we also offer reformer Pilates sessions with our Pilates instructors.

To see one of our physiotherapists, you do not need a referral (except for DVA and Medicare EPC), and you can claim on Private Health Insurance (if covered as an extra), with prices kept as low as possible. We also offer all WorkSafe injuries, TAC injuries, and Medicare (EPC) referrals at no extra cost.

Melissa Telfer



Melissa holds an Associate of Science Degree from North Texas College and a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology and Pre-Med from Alabama State University in the United States. Upon returning to Australia, she completed a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Physiotherapy from Latrobe University.

As a keen tennis player, Melissa was fortunate to study in America on a Tennis Scholarship and is still a competitive player to this day. As such she has a very strong interest in shoulder related injuries and returns to sports rehabilitation programs. Dry needling is one of her areas of expertise.

Melissa also enjoys working with paediatric and NDIS clientele in both neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.

Rick King



Rick received his Certificate in Massage Therapy from the Melbourne Institute of Massage Therapy, his Bachelor of Health Sciences from LaTrobe University, and his Master of Physiotherapy Practice from LaTrobe University.

Rick's special interests include knee and shoulder injuries, chronic lower back pain, gerontology, and rehabilitation. His knowledge and skill set are diverse, and he is enthusiastic about working with people of all ages, particularly the elderly.

Rick played basketball from the age of four until he was twenty, and he has been practising Muay Thai for the last ten years. He enjoys travelling both locally and abroad, and he plans his vacations around hiking trails and local food. Rick collects red wine from all across Australia, with a particular focus on North Eastern Victoria.

Christopher Nguyen



Christopher graduated with a Doctor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne.

Christopher has an interest in treating combat sports related injuries (such as wrestling, jiu-jitsu or kick boxing), with knee and shoulder injuries being areas of particular interest. Chris’ goal as a physiotherapist is to work with patients by improving their understanding of their conditions and provide strategies that empowers them to take control and be their best functionally.

Chris competes and coaches in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. He enjoys longboarding to new locations to snap photos, and preparing charcuterie boards for board game night.
